New Year, New Projects

In 2024 I am hoping to upcycle as many denim jeans as possible into usuable beautiful accessories.  With so many denim products in preloved stores all over Australia, I am hoping to reduce these numbers.  Denim is a great durable, versatile product to use for bags, pouches and totes.  Watch this space as I explore fun usable accessories perfect for gifts or to spoil yourself.

For my January release I carefully choose 4 Australian designed fabrics featuring artists Stixylin, Karen Hempel and Girl of the Deep Blue Sea.  These fabrics are all different styles from abstract to classic native floral, as I try and cater to a wide range of customer tastes.  This year my aim is to showcase a range of Australian artists in my releases and step away from mainstream fabric.  Although I might pop a few classics in from polka dot to checks.  Supporting Small Business has always been and will always be my main focus. So supporting Australian artist and Australian fabric companies is my way of doing this.

Lisa kindly offered to do a collaboration to style one of my bags with her beautiful outfits.  As she has a love of colour and floral I thought the Magenta Floral clutch was the perfect choice.  Lisa paired this stunning outfit with the latest range of clothing from Gorman which looks stunning.

I have created a range of Breast Cancer Awareness products to start those very important conversations such as do you test for lumps regularly or are you up to date on health checks.  Over 40s can get a FREE Mammogram at Breast Scan.

Whether it is the boob statement fabric items or the standard pink ribbon and daffodil items, there is something for everyone.  20% of the sale of each item goes towards the McGrath Foundation.

In our busy lives we often forget to slow down and recharge.  So currently I am including a FREE fun fabric bookmark to brightly remind you to stop and relax with a good book.  I know in my life I am constantly running around doing house jobs, sewing, computer work and not much time to relax in the moment.  This year I am trying to step back and take time for me with pilates, reading and gardening.
